Overview - Classic Fundraiser



A classic fundraiser event allows you to track and review the progress of your fundraiser, including the amounts raised by each participant, and the overall total raised.


A fundraiser may be setup for either a closest to pin or long drive classic game.


Note: Your license key must include both the classic games and fundraiser products to setup a fundraiser event.  See the aG  Classic Games manual for more information regarding classic games.





Start a Fundraiser Game



  • From the Main Menu click on Compete then Classic. Note: Your license key must include the classic game product. 
  • This will open the Classic Skill Events menu.
  • Click to select the skill game type you wish to play.  Game types are:
  • closest to pin
  • long drive 
  • If games exist for the skill game type selected, those games will display in the list.
  • Select and highlight the game you wish to play and click OK to go to the classic setup screen.
  • If no games have been created yet, or if you wish to create a new game, click on the new event button. Enter a name for the classic game and click OK. The classic setup screen will be displayed.
  • Click on the Fundraiser Options button. Note:  This button will display if your license key includes the fundraiser product.
  • Select the options for your fundraiser.  
  • A fundraiser can be setup as a closest to pin or long drive event. 
  • Click OK to save your fundraiser options.

Start a Fundraiser Game



  • At the classic setup screen, select the course and options to use for your fundraiser and click Next.
  • At the leaderboard, create your golfer and go to the classic game fundraiser.
  • After completing the game, return to the leaderboard to view the progress of your fundraiser.
  • The fundraiser graph, which displays to the right of the leaderboard table, shows you when your final fundraising goal has been met.

Closest to Pin Fundraiser




To setup a closest to pin fundraiser, click the Fundraiser Options button at the classic games setup screen, then select your options including:


  • Fundraising Goal (top left) - Enter the total amount for your fundraiser. 
  • Note: This option cannot be blank. Enter a value to turn on the fundraiser mode for classic events. 
  • Entry Fee (under fundraising goal) - Enter the amount of the entry fee required to play the fundraiser. This amount is only added to the fundraiser total one time.
  • Note:  If Multiplier has been selected for a fundraiser option, the entry fee value will be used to calculate the total amount awarded and should not be blank.
  • Max Shot Bonus (under entry fee) - Enter the total winnings that can be awarded per player, per shot.  
  • Once a player has reached this amount, no additional earnings will be added to the fundraiser total for the player’s current shot.
  • If Max Shot Bonus = 0, a player can earn unlimited winnings for each shot they take.
  • Match or Multiplier Options - Set the options that will generate earnings for your fundraiser. Note:  For each option, select to award the winnings by either a Match or Multiplier value.  
  • Match - The amount entered for the Match field is the actual dollar amount awarded and added to the fundraiser total if the player achieves that fundraiser option.  For example this could be $1 or $5.
  • Multiplier - The value entered for the Multiplier field is used to calculate the dollar amount awarded and added to the fundraiser total if the player achieves that fundraiser option. 
  • For Example:  If the Entry Fee = $25.00 and the Multiplier value = 2x for an option, the total amount awarded for that fundraiser option is $50.
  • Note: If you select to use the Multiplier option, be sure the Entry Fee field is not blank.
  • Fundraiser Options - The following options can be set for a Closest to Pin fundraiser.  Each time a player achieves one of these options, that amount is awarded and added to the total fundraiser amount. Note: Only the best result of the following four options will be awarded. For example: If Shot within 10 ft and Shot on green are both set, and a player hits their shot within 10 feet of the cup, only the amount entered for the Shot within 10 ft will be awarded.
  • Hole in one (mid left - top of screen) - Enter the amount awarded when a player hits a hole in one shot.
  • Shot within 10 ft (below hole in one) - Enter the amount awarded when a player hits within 10 ft of the cup.    
  • Shot on green (below shot within 10 ft) - Enter the amount awarded when a player hits on the green.
  • Shot hit pin (below shot on green) - Enter the amount awarded when a player hits the pin.









Closest to Pin Fundraiser



  • The following options are awarded each time a player’s shot achieves top placements - but only the best result will be awarded. For example: If First Place and Top 5 are both set, and a player achieves first place with their shot, only the first place amount will be awarded. Note:  Placement values are only awarded after a minimum number of entries has been achieved.
  • First Place (mid left - below shot hit pin) - Enter the amount awarded when a player’s shot puts them in first place.  A minimum of 5 entries is required before First Place will be awarded.
  • Top 5 (below first place) - Enter the amount awarded when a player’s shot puts them in the top 5.  A minimum of 25 entries is required before the Top 5 value will be awarded.
  • Top 10 (below top 5) - Enter the amount awarded when a player’s shot puts them in the top 10.  A minimum of 50 entries is required before the Top 10 value will be awarded.
  • Top 100 (below top 10) - Enter the amount awarded when a player’s shot puts them in the top 100.  A minimum of 500 entries is required before the Top 100 value will be awarded.
  • 100th entry (below top 100) - Enter the amount awarded for the 100th player entered for the fundraiser.  Awards are given when increments of 100 are met; for example, when the 100th, 200th , 300th, ….etc player has entered the event. Note:  This amount is based on each player created.  The player does not have to take a shot for this amount to be added to the total fundraiser goal.
  • 1000th entry (below 100th entry) - Enter the amount awarded for the 1000th player entered for the fundraiser.  Awards are given when increments of 1000 are met; for example, when the 1000th, 2000th , 3000th, ….etc player has entered the event. Note:  This amount is based on each player created.  The player does not have to take a shot for this amount to be added to the total fundraiser goal.
  • Passed $1k mark (below 1000th entry) - Enter the amount awarded each time the fundraiser total increases by $1,000.
  • Passed $10k mark (below $1k mark) - Enter the amount awarded each time the fundraiser total increases by $10,000.
  • After selecting your fundraiser options, click OK at the bottom right of the screen to save your options and return to the classic games setup screen.

Long Drive Fundraiser



To setup a long drive fundraiser, click the Fundraiser Options button at the classic games setup screen, then select your options including:


  • Fundraising Goal (top left) - Enter the total amount for your fundraiser. Note: To turn fundraising ON, you must enter a value for this option (this option cannot be blank). 
  • Entry Fee (under fundraising goal) - Enter the amount of the entry fee required to play the fundraiser. This amount is only added to the fundraiser total one time.
  • Note:  If Multiplier has been selected for a fundraiser option, the entry fee value will be used to calculate the total amount awarded and should not be blank.
  • Max Shot Bonus (under entry fee) - Enter the total winnings that can be awarded per player, per shot.

  • Valid Shot (mid left - top of screen) - Enter the amount awarded when a player hits a valid shot.
  • If Fairway Required = Yes (set at the Classic Games Setup screen), the shot must land on the fairway, approach, fwy/rough, green, or in the cup to be considered valid.
  • If a shot lands in water or out of bounds, it is always considered invalid.
  • Only the best result of the following three options will be awarded.  For example: If 200 yd plus shot and 250 yd plus shot are both set, and a player hits a shot greater than 250 yards, only the amount entered for the 250 yd plus shot will be awarded.
  • 200 yd plus shot (below valid shot) - Enter the amount awarded when a player hits a shot 200 yards or greater.    
  • 250 yd plus shot (below 200 yd plus shot) - Enter the amount awarded when a player hits a shot 250 yards or greater.
  • 300 yd plus shot (below 250 yd plus shot) - Enter the amount awarded when a player hits a shot 300 yards or greater.
  • Note: If Fairway Required = Yes, the shot must land on the fairway, approach, fwy/rough, green, or in the cup for the fundraiser amount to be awarded.




Long Drive Fundraiser

  • Passed $10k mark (below $1k mark) - Enter the amount awarded each time the fundraiser total increases by $10,000.
  • After selecting your fundraiser options, click OK at the bottom right of the screen to save your options and return to the Classic setup screen.

Play Fundraiser Event



  • At the leaderboard screen, create a New Golfer and click OK to start your fundraiser.  Or select a golfer from the Next Up list and choose Hit Shots.
  • The starting location for the game will be based on the tee selected at the classic setup screen.
  • For closest to the pin events, a “runway” animation displays, starting at the tees, which directs you to the pin location.
  • For long drive events, yardage markers will display on the course indicating the distance from the tees.
  • Take your shot and return to the leaderboard. 
  • If  your shot meets one or more of the fundraiser options set at the Fundraiser Options menu, then that amount will be added to the total amount raised for the fundraiser.
  • On the fundraiser graph, both the final Goal and Total amount raised thus far are displayed. 
  • All entry fees are added to the total amount raised for the fundraiser.
  • The total raised, total event match, entry count, top earners, and leaders are also displayed along the bottom of the screen in the scrolling ticker area.
